BEN AND TEAM POUND THE PAVEMENT

MOHEGAN LAKE, N.Y. – Democratic congressional candidate Ben Shuldiner and his team of staff and volunteers are upping the ante. The campaign's "Midnight Madness" event, where over a dozen staffers and volunteers spread throughout the district to put up lawn signs, kicked the Ben for Congress campaign into high gear and has propelled it into the final stretches of the primary race.

"While some of my opponents are choosing to focus on the glitz and glamour of campaigning, we're really dedicated to getting to know the people," said Shuldiner. "We're at train stations, grocery stores, senior homes, county fairs -- it's time for local political representatives to really know and understand who they're representing."

While Shuldiner's staffers and volunteers have been grinding the pavement daily to spread the campaign's message of progress, Shuldiner himself has suprised many voters with personal appearances at their homes. Shuldiner's personal attention to the voters, along with the great presence created by campaign signs across the district, are quickly building name recognition and momentum.

"The support has been overwhelming," said Shuldiner. "People in this district just aren't used to getting this kind of attention, but it's what they deserve. I want to represent this district with a full understanding of who it's people are and what they need -- that's important to me."

Ben Shuldiner is the founder and principal of Brooklyn's High School for Public Service and the winner of the prestigious Jefferson Award for Public Service. Shuldiner is running for Congress in the 19th Congressional District of New York, which includes portions of Dutchess, Orange, Rockland and Westchester counties and all of Putnam County.
